Europe in May: Croissants, Coastlines, and Sister Time

There are some trips that stay with you long after you've unpacked your suitcase. My recent journey through Europe with my sister was exactly that kind of trip.

We set sail along the Mediterranean, exploring some of the most beautiful destinations in Spain and the South of France, with every stop offering its own unique blend of culture, cuisine, and charm. From vibrant Barcelona and historic Tarragona to the seaside beauty of Sète, Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, and Nice, every day felt like stepping into a postcard.

What made the trip even more special was sharing it with my favorite travel companion—my sister. Between endless conversations, laughter, and discovering new places together, the memories we created are priceless.

Of course, Europe in May delivers everything you dream about. The weather was glorious, warm enough for outdoor dining and coastal strolls, yet comfortable enough to explore all day. The food was exceptional, from fresh seafood along the Mediterranean to leisurely lunches paired with incredible local wines. And then there were the croissants—perfectly flaky, buttery, and worth every indulgent bite.

The fashion was equally inspiring. Europeans have a way of making effortless elegance look easy. Whether strolling through harbor towns or dining at waterfront cafés, style was everywhere. It was impossible not to admire the chic confidence that seemed woven into daily life.

One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Cannes during the annual film festival. The city buzzed with excitement and glamour. Luxury yachts filled the harbor, photographers lined the streets, and fashion took center stage. There was an unmistakable energy in the air—a blend of sophistication, celebration, and star power that made the experience unforgettable.

As we traveled from one stunning destination to the next, I found myself falling in love with the European lifestyle all over again. The emphasis on enjoying the moment, lingering over meals, appreciating beautiful surroundings, and embracing life's simple pleasures is something I always bring home with me.

Europe in May is truly magical. Between the sparkling Mediterranean waters, charming coastal towns, world-class food and wine, incredible fashion, and the joy of sharing it all with someone you love, this journey was everything I hoped it would be—and more.

Until next time, Europe.
